Medieval House

Saturday, August 14th, 2010

Medieval Shack Modelled in Lightwave 9.6.

Still need to work on the tiling and the wood at the front of the house, also need to fill the space at the back with a door…

At the moment, the tiles are a little bit too high poly leading to a rather ridiculous poly count. Might try some different styles of tiling tommorrow.

Candelabra and a new scene.

Wednesday, August 11th, 2010

Currently working on a Medieval scene as a break from coding up a database website, so far only got to the part where I am creating objects.

The room is based on a photograph I found on the web, and will be largely focused on texturing, but also on getting a few nice light effects and the such in there too.

Although currently working in Lightwave 9.6, I remain undeided as to wether I will complete picture in this program or migrate it to Vue 7.

Work in Progress – Modern Townhouse – Day Two

Friday, April 2nd, 2010

More progress on the Modern Townhouse model.

Added some more textures, and a door (which I hate)

Still needs some windows and fine details.

Work in Progress – Modern Townhouse – Day One

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

Working on a model of a modern townhouse for a project outside of archaeology this time.

After Day one – about 6 hours – the majority of the basis of the model is complete, and three textures have been completed to satisfaction.

Still got a lot of modelling to do, particularly in the windows doors section.

Modelling and texturing is done in Lightwave 9.6, eventually this will be sent to Vue 7.

This model also contains an inside, although at present this is just walls and doorways, eventually I will furnish this as well.

Farmhouse WIP

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

WIP shot of a farmhouse I am working on.

file_1996898

All modelled, Textured and Rendered in Lightwave 9.6 – The plan is to get it into vue and create a full on Landscape scene.

If I can get it out of lightwave successfully I will consider putting it up for sale on Renderosity (when its finished!)

Comments, suggestions or improvements welcomed.

Kingston Flyer – Day 6

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

Finished the drivetrain, added another boiler to the top of the tank, more pipes and more details to the tank.

train14

Still to do the wheels today, perhaps tweak the drivetrain slightly, the final boiler, whistle assembly and some valve areas toward the back.

Kingston Flyer – End of Day 4

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

Worked on the runners for the rest of the day, part of this involved first tyring to learn how they work and then model them accordingly

train10

Still needs lots more work on the shape and adding all the small details, but for now i’m happy to have the main shapes present and in the right places.

The wheels are only roughouts at present, better more detailed ones will be done later.

Kingston Flyer – Day 4

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

Added some more details to the side of the flyer, starting to look like a train now which is nice.

train8

Goint to get the pistons and gears on the main wheels finished by the end of the day hopefully.

Kingston Flyer – Front Finished

Monday, July 13th, 2009

The front view of the kingston flyer is now finished (apart from the texturing) Added the piston type jobs to the side of the train, made the tank front spherical rather than conical as suggested by piz99 of Renderosity forum and added the plate on the front of the cow pusher (the grill at the front)

Also started working on the wheels, lots of pipes and metalwork around them still to come..

More later.
