More progress on the Medieval Cathedral.
Work being carried out in Lightwave 9.6, rendered here in vue 9 Infinte.
Still needs another section of building on the side, where it looks empty, and the back needs to be done, becuase at the moment its just a big hole.
The top of the roof looks a little fuzzy becusae the detail is a little small and it just confuses the camera rather than looks nice. cant win em all.
More work on the second medieval cathedral

A work in progress model of a Swedish Medieval Cathedral
Since the first cathedral that I made is proving to be so popular, I’ve started working on a second one, this time based on HagaKyrka in Goteborg, Sweden.
Modelling in Lightwave 9.6, this render in Vue 9 Infinite.
Comments, Suggestions and Observations welcomed, thanks for looking!
Model now completed and UV mapped, first time I have attempted to UV map something so complex, but relatively happy with the uv map.
Going to start texturing sometime this week. All work done in lightwave 9.6
Completed the top and tail of the F16 model now.
Much work left to do on the underside, but im content to leave it without an undercarriage as thats all I require.
Model is about 21k polys so far, but is mostly quads rather than triangles so number will undoubtedly double.
All work being done In lightwave 9.6
More work on the F16 model.
Worked on the wings and the tail which is still not finished. Modelled air vent on the near side and smoothed pilot pod canopy somewhat.
All work being done in Lightwave 9.6
Some Progression with F-16 model
Decided to start creating detail and working from the front to the back to ease myself into the more advanced modelling at the back.
Was asked to demonstrate how I created the body shape of the plane, this was done by using a blueprint of the plane (easily findable on google) and by creating polygons the shape of the cross sections and joining them together then moulding them as I saw fit.
All work done in Lightwave 9.6
There are no materials on the model yet, the colour differential is purely so I know which part is which.
Ive decided that its time to do some proper modelling, and so after getting a suggestion from Heu, have started to model an F16.
This will obviously take quite a wihle to complete, but I have finished the basic shape of the model after about 3-4 hours.
I am working from a blueprint in Lightwave 9.6.
Recently discovered a free, yes FREE, 3D sculpting software called Sculptris which has recently been bought by Pixologic, the makers of zbrush
Its a very nice program to use, very intuitive with a nice GUI and works wonderfully with my Wacom Intuos 3, it is also extremely lightweight, only around 4mb.
I have only been playing around with it for a little while, and on the request of a friend have been trying to make a shark.
Rather basic yes, but you can at least see its a shark!
If you want to get your hands on Sculptris, it is availiable from the Pixologic Forum for free.
I have just added the IFW2 shaders/nodes and textures pack to my Lightwave arsenal, and I am very impressed.
I have also begun working on a followup to the medieval shack that I compelted previously, this time it is more of a townhouse, and a much older design.
Still not completely happy with the main wall texture, and still have to complete such niceties as windows and doors, should also be adding a chimney sometime soon.
