Just got my hands on the new version of Vue 9 Infinite and have been playing round with it for a short while, thought it would be good to share my first impressions.
Firstly, and most obviously, the interface has been overhauled, and it looks just lovely. Nice round boxes, good colour scheme, and bigger more colourful buttons.
For the most part this is a very nice change, however, I am not too keen yet on the new layout in various menus, particularly the material editor, but I am sure this is just a case of getting used to it.
There are lots of fancy new things, which are new from vue 8.5, including the awesome relighting feature which if you havent seen is shown rather nicely on youtube
This feature works particularly nicely, and doesnt add any extra time to the scene when it is rendered. Finding the feature was a little tricky, as it is hidden at the bottom of the rendering menu and is very small.
There is now the possiblity to use brushes with the texture editor and create new brushes procedurally, this is very nice feature.
Created a quick scene with the new vue, and using the new plants that come with it.
Rendered in a little over 7 minutes, which for an ecosystem with 3.5billion polys and a spectral atmosphere, is pretty quick in my opinion.
Overall I am very impressed with what I have seen so far.

I look foward to seeing more Vue 9 renders from you.
