The nature of the water in vue does depend quite a lot on the position of the sun in the sky as this determines how much of the light is reflected off the top of the water as opposed to how much passes through the water, try reducing the global reflection setting and also try and increase the global transparancy, that should help a little bit at least.

Well the pulsating is fixed. Thought I had used custom settings for the water but the global wave control was checked. I unchecked and re-rendered. The water no longer pulsates but it still looks kind of thick. Maybe it is my atmosphere and how it is reflecting on the water. It is kind of a dark scene.

Really awesome tutorial I have been wanting to make my own water.

This water pulsates and I was wondering if there was an adjustment that I did wrong. It also looks very thick and viscus. Can you help me?
